Hi Everyone,
Good news!
Today was a lot easier than all of the previous days. At first, I thought it was because we walked less today (14.3 miles). However, after thinking for a second, I think today was lighter because we finally got comfortable being uncomfortable. Our bodies have adjusted to the pain we put ourselves through every day. The blisters, aches, and general soreness are something that we’ve adapted to.
I honestly feel like I could have walked all of the 200 miles today because I felt that good. So hopefully the rest of the days will be similar!
With all the good news, though, there is bound to be some not so good.
We walked so fast we arrived at our apartment 2 hours before it was ready. We sat in a nearby park during this time. In typical Brenneman style, shit went down. Literally.
Not even 5 minutes into our wait, a bird pooped on Maggie. Although it upset her, it was honestly so funny. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the face she made.

Anyway, in the meantime, Will and I did something we never have before. I grabbed a tennis ball from my bag and we played catch for almost an hour and a half. It was very fun and we made the time fly. So, all in all, today was a success and I’m excited to crush the remaining days.

Until tomorrow!
P.S. Please be sure to check out the fundraiser again (or if you haven’t already)! Donations are still being accepted throughout our trek.
